About
One of the most active and respected political organisations on the Otago Uni Campus, the Southern Region Young Nats aim to preserve centre-right politics at Otago – traditionally a more left-leaning university. With over 150 members, and spanning several hundred kilometres, Southern Young Nats actively work with local MPs and party officials on campaigns, rallies, fundraisers and other events. Southern Young Nats also host social events throughout the year – whether it be a pub crawl or dinner with an MP, there is always something going on.
There has never been a more important time for students to be actively involved in the future of our country – the future of our economy depending on the actions we take now, the voices of New Zealand’s younger generations are vital for the success. 2010 is set to be an important battle for students rights and freedoms, with the VSM about to dominate debate on campus. Your involvement could secure much needed support for politics in New Zealand.
