Often perceived as the more liberal region, Young Nats LNI is a thriving organisation made up of many branches including a successful Vic Uni branch as well as Massey branches in both Wellington and Palmerston North. Young Nats LNI also has branches for Young Professionals and members not at University. Together, members throughout the region engage in a variety of social events, debates, policy forums, and campaigns. Political activity includes the “Keep It At 18″ campaign.
Furthermore, being in the heart of the political scene provides members with extra opportunities. Delights include being hosted by MPs at Parliament and regular gatherings at TVNZ’s television show Back Benches.
Young Nats LNI has close relationships with a large number of National Party MPs. As such, members of the LNI region find themselves rewarded with the opportunity to be involved in the political campaigns of MPs.
