The central north island (CNI) extends from the bombay hills in the north and rough line from Gisborne to New Plymouth in the south coast to coast. The region is diverse with Hamilton and Tauranga being the larger metropoltian centres that support students and young professionals within the CNI young nats. While smaller rural towns like Cambridge and Te kuti ensure young rural support for the CNI Young Nats. This year we have embarked on a mission to engage at a grass roots level to ensure that people feel they are involved in the political process and part of the Young nats and the National party. The CNI Young Nats are proud to have open relationships with MP’s and Ministers within our region, who continue to support us and growing the CNI Young Nats.
I was elected chairman of the CNI region this year after holding roles in membership, policy and campaign chairs. I am a trained pilot and flight instructor completing my training at the Waikato Aero Club in Hamilton. I currently contract out my aviation services to individuals and flight schools in the central north island. I am also completing a social sciences degree in Psychology and Political Science at the University of Waikato. In my spare time I enjoy short film and video production as well as rugby.
I encourage everyone to come get involved with the Young Nats, have fun, meet new people. The young nats is hugely social it doesn’t matter if you are only at school or you don’t know that much about politics coming to a young nats event is a great way to find out more and have fun doing it.
