The Young Nationals is New Zealand’s leading centre-right youth political organisation.
The Young Nats are affiliated with the International Young Democrat Union, a global alliance of centre right political youth organisations united by a common desire for greater freedom and less government.
The Young Nats have had a long and proud tradition of representing centre-right values in the international arena. Shane Frith, a former Young Nats President, was one of the founding Chairs of IYDU. At present the current Young Nats President, Daniel Fielding, is serving on the IYDU Board.
The Young Nats also have close ties with various centre-right youth political organisations around the globe, such as our neighbours across the ditch, the Young Liberal Movement of Australia and good friends Conservative Future in the United Kingdom and Young Republicans and College Republicans in the United States.
Coming from a relatively small country in the Pacific we know the importance of being represented on the global stage and being involved in the policy exchange of new ideas. It is our aim to continue to increase the international scope of our Party.
